KLANG: Deepavali brought Malaysians together as Indians invited their friends to open houses throughout the country.In Klang, Kota Alam Shah state assemblyman M. Manoharan held an open house for the public on Deepavali day at the Dewan Hamzah.

Said Manoharan: " I am happy to see Malaysians of various races taking the opportunity to visit their friends during this festive season.


"It is such times as these when Malaysians forget their differences to instil the spirit of unity. 

"My wife and children were excited that members of the public came to our home and sampled the traditional tit bits that we prepared.

"We gave muruku as door gifts to guests."
