It was probably the sad eyes of the puppies that tugged at the hearts of the visitors to the Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) adoption exercise. Puppies aplenty of different colours, shapes and characters and every one of them were adorable. Many of these animals were rescued from being dumped into the streets by irresponsible owners and some from abusive owners. Pets give back to the owners many days of joy and companionship for the little they do for the pets. Loving them a little by just providing for their basic needs prompts the pets to return unconditional love and loyalty.
It is sad to see so many animals turned into the streets for reasons that the owners have moved, no longer want to feed and care for them, have lost the cuteness when the pets were babies or whatever other reasons. Perhaps they are not aware that there are ways to give up their pets without making them strays.
Adopt a pet, it will change your life.
